1. GENERAL ADMISSION CRITERIA & PROCEDURE
Euroculture Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Candidates will be selected according to common selection criteria which will be taken into consideration altogether:
- Candidates must have completed a good level first cycle degree (academic BA degree) in a discipline of relevance to Euroculture (Arts or Humanities) before the deadline of 15 December.

Mark and quality of first degree (Which mark and from what university or programme)

Degree close to Euroculture programme

Prognosis about academic potential based on time spent to receive first degree and way of conducting studies (Short and focused; if longer, then with additional and relevant extra-curricular activities, richness of degree programme depending on field)

Motivation for Euroculture course (expectations, own contribution)

Language abilities and practical application in studying or working
-
Language abilities and practical application in studying or working - English (as evident in supplied test score, letter of motivation, etc.)

Language abilities and practical application in studying or working – other languages besides English (proof, study or work experience)
-
Work experience in related fields (type of job, duration, how long, reasons to finish)

Having worked or studied abroad (outside the country and in a different language and cultural environment)

Personal competences (abilities/qualities) relevant for succesful participation in the Euroculture course programme (to work and learn in an interdisciplinary environment with heavy workload and group work)

Geographical and gender balance of the selected third country students: no more than 25% of the selected third-country students should come from the same country and no more than 10% of the selected third-country students should come from the same institution

Only complete applications will be considered.
PROCEDURE:
The Euroculture Joint Selection Committee will select the third-country candidates applying for Erasmus Mundus scholarships. The corresponding Euroculture selection committee at each network university will make the preliminary selection of the other candidates.
The Erasmus Mundus scholarship candidates will be proposed to the European Commission. The European Commission will take a decision on the scholarships before the end of June. Grantees will be contacted directly afterwards.
2. FEES
Registration fee: EURO 10,000 for the 3 semesters to be paid to the network.
3. HOW TO APPLY AND WHERE TO SEND TO THE APPLICATION
Candidate students MUST fill-in the APPLICATION FORM, duly completed and signed, TOGETHER WITH ALL OF THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS listed below (one original set of documents and three complete copies of all the required documents), to the following mailing address before the 15 of December 2009:

Please note: You are not allowed to apply to more than three Erasmus Mundus Master programmes.
4. CHECKLIST OF DOCUMENTS TO ENCLOSE
To apply you should send one original dossier, three photocopied dossiers AND 4 PASSPORT PHOTOS to the address above. Please note that incomplete application dossiers will not be considered for selection. A dossier should consist of the following documents:
- The Euroculture application form

- Certified academic degree certificate (if this document is not in English, French, German or Latin, then your must attach an official translation) and, if available, Diploma Supplement

- Certified copies of academic transcripts
|
- A letter of motivation explaining your choice for the MA Programme Euroculture (max. 1 page)
|
- A letter of reference from two different referees
|
|
|
- Proof of English language proficiency: TOEFL test minimum result of 580 (old style) or 92 (new style), or 237 (computer based), or IELTS 6,5

- THREE photocopies and your original documents
