Admission requirements 

Euroculture candidates will be selected according to common selection criteria which will be taken into consideration:

  • Candidates must have completed a good level first cycle degree (academic BA degree) in a discipline of relevance to Euroculture (e.g. degree in the Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences such as: European studies, History, Theology, Linguistics, Literature, Philosophy, International Relations, Political Sciences, Law, Cultural studies, Anthropology, Psychology, or Sociology) 
  • Mark and quality of first degree (Which mark and from what university or programme) 
    • Academic excellence: Weighing/type of awarding institution of first university degree
    • Academic excellence: Weighing/academic achievement of student’s first degree
  • Degree close to Euroculture programme
  • Prognosis about academic potential based on time spent to receive first degree and way of conducting studies (Short and focused; if longer, then with additional and relevant extra-curricular activities, richness of degree programme depending on field)
  • Motivation for Euroculture course (expectations, own contribution)
  • Language abilities and practical application in studying or working
    • Language abilities and practical application in studying or working - English (as evident in supplied test score, letter of motivation, etc.). The minimum required level should be: TOEFL score of 580 points old style, 92 points new style, a score 6.5 of IELTS, or Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) C1. 
    • Language abilities and practical application in studying or working – other languages besides English (proof, study or work experience) 
  • Work experience in related fields (type of job, duration, how long, reasons to finish)
  • Having worked or studied abroad (outside the country and in a different language and cultural environment) 
  • Personal competences (abilities/qualities) relevant for succesful participation in the Euroculture course programme (to work and learn in an interdisciplinary environment with heavy workload and group work)
  • Only complete applications will be considered. 

Furthermore, each partner university might ask for complementary requirements. Applications will be assessed at the different partner universities and each university will select 20 students per year.
