The label ''Erasmus Mundus Master of Excellence" granted to the Euroculture programme by the European Commission in 2005 and again in 2011, is a sign of recognition granted of Euroculture's outstanding quality as a top joint master programme.
The Erasmus Mundus programme is a global scheme to enhance the quality and attractiveness of European higher education worldwide. As an Erasmus Mundus programme, Euroculture offers a framework that promotes valuable exchange and dialogue between cultures and prepares students for a global, knowledge-based society.
Scholarships
2006-2011
After five years of awarding Erasmus Mundus bursaries (2006-2011) to non-European and European students, the Euroculture programme continued since 2011 to carry the highly sought-after Erasmus Mundus brand name within the new Erasmus Mundus II framework. The Erasmus Mundus Brand Name (EMBN) is awarded by the European Commission and is exclusively restricted to selected programmes that are able to maintain the high quality of their curricula. However, no Erasmus Mundus scholarships were available for the 2011-2013 programme, commencing in September/October 2011.
2012-2017
In July 2011 the programme was again selected for funding by the European commission for a period of five years (2012-2017). This means that for the Euroculture Master programme that starts in the next five years, beginning in September/October 2012, Erasmus Mundus scholarships will be offered to a number of students.
